Eve of an eve

I drew this when I was trying to come up with a blog header, It's a pretty accurate depiction of the back of my head! (sans the bunny ears)

I can't believe it's christmas eve eve again already, I always thought that this day was the best of the season because it was the day where we were almost to xmas but we still had one whole day of anticipation left. I always felt sad when my presents were all opened because the anticipation would be over for another year, waiting itself is sometimes sweeter than the thing you're waiting for. I remember one eve 'eve' that I got a bit over excited and did myself a mischief while cartwheeling around the house, my christmas excitment was always a problem actually. It's only in so many recent years that I've been able to sleep all the way through the night without getting up to molest the presents under the tree, haha!

I actually wore this outfit a while ago but I doodled it a few days ago when I was too sick to even make the effort to get out of my PJ's, hah terrible. I just love that dress but it's criminally short, lately i've felt a bit self conscious wearing it, I'm thinking some crinoline and ruffles worn underneath it might put my mind at ease? The dinosaur necklace is an absolute fave, when I saw it in Jodies boutique recently I was both happy to see such an awesome Tatty piece and sad because I grudge anyone else owning it but me (terrible!)

So I should really be in bed since I had about 4 hours sleep last night but posting at impromptu times has always been a habit of mine. I had a really great time out with my suspected soulsisters, not only great but cheap for once! I was also heartily pleased with my outfit, it was nice and simple but crowned with the gorgeous new piece of neck accent that I couldn't afford but bought anyway from Jodies (love jodies!), too gorgeous for me to ugly it up with my doodles actually so:

I'm a huge batman fan (my ringtone is the 60's theme rofl) so naturally I almost died when I found this brooch, and no it has nothing to do with anything luella did. When i was a little girl I did have My Little Ponies and Barbies... but I ran them over with my bat mobile.

Gaaaahhhhh....

I know i'm having a posting fit at the moment but I can't take it anymore. I don't know about anywhere else but it feels to me like the television here is overdosing on the trailer for this film. The books are what Harry Potter would of been if it had been written by Anne Rice, a criticism? You decide.....!

...okay no it was a criticism, sorry. As for the film, if the trailer is anything to go by, not much better, reeeaallly don't get the casting decisions, especially for the leads (any other facial expressions there Bella? no? okay continue looking vapid) but what do I know?

It looks horrible but I just know that if I was still 13 i'd probably be crazier about it than I was for Orlando bloom dressed up as an elf.

Rings on her fingers~

This ring is my favourite (inanimate) thing in the whole world, if i'm not wearing it there is something very wrong with me, I take it with me everywhere and wear it with pretty much every outfit and in my opinion it defines my style. I had lusted after it for an age when my mum suprised me with it one christmas eve, I had thought it was far out of my reach, so it's extra precious to me. I once had an elderly man sitting next to me on the bus remark that it was 'a real knuckleduster' which filled me with glee.

I have a bit of a ring fixation in general anyway, i bought this skull orb ring from the Glasgow VW shop when it opened and I've worn it a few times, but i'm a bit vexed as the enamel is already starting to come off. Unlike the armour ring wear and tear doesn't really become it.

Something fun I did recently was glue a little bird whimsey onto a a ring base so it looks like it's alighting on my finger, I can hold it up to my cheek and pretend to be snow white anytime I want to now~! I was going to draw it but the beechams I took for my cold are kicking in and making me drowsy.

Nice to be met

Well, I have never been very good at introductions, the words get muddled up first in my head and then in my mouth as I try to decide where to begin and what the important points I should be making are. Even now I am making an introduction where I talk about how bad I am at introductions (!?) so perhaps I should just stop and pretend this isn't my first post at all, in which case I won't have to introduce myself, hah!

Essentially, this being a new blog i'm only really talking to myself at this point so I suppose it doesn't really matter anyway!

Blergh, I went ice skating at George Square friday night and got drenched by the rain, I also fell on my bum and was soaked through by the melted ice 8<. Needless to say I'm feeling horrible, my nose is rudolph red (hence Lapin's) parts of me are too hot and parts of me are too cold, so I dressed accordingly and tried to raise my spirits with my emilio cavallini socks and a smattering of pearls and corsages. Cheery dressing sometimes inspires cheery feelings I think.

However no amount of accessorising could make me happy when my £*$% of an upstairs neighbour is making so much noise I have to check to see she's not actually walking on my skull.

In my right hand I hold a box of tissues for nose blowing and in my left hand I hold a broom for cieling banging! I didn't draw those in because I don't think the world is ready yet for my fashion forward ideas (any day now!).
